Chambray Tee

This chambray tee is one of my favorite things to wear! I love anything chambray, as it is a very popular trend. This is a great alternative, if you ever get tired of wearing a chambray button-up. Not that such a situation would ever occur, but opposition is always good, right? I also love the way that it fits. It is really loose and baggy, but it isn't at all frumpy. I do recommend sizing down- I bought an xs.

Summer Style with Pink Blush: Day 2

Today is day two of my week-long series with Pink Blush and I am wearing a floral printed maxi dress

I cannot live without maxis in the summer. They are the perfect piece of clothing to keep you cool in the summer, without compromising your style.

Layering can be hard to do in the summer, but layering maxis can be so fun. For this particular outfit, I wore a chambray button-up because chambray seems to pull almost any outfit together! Next time you wear a chambray with a maxi, try double-knotting it instead of buttoning it up. This creates a casual, but pulled-together look that is perfect for summer!

Magenta Dots

Happy Monday!
The weather here was fabulous over the weekend, so I was able to snap these pictures. Unfortunately, it snowed yesterday (what!?). Hopefully it will warm up later this week so I can enjoy some spring weather again.

Effortless Black

Hello and Happy Halloween! This post is in no way halloween-orientated, I'm sorry if that disappoints you. However, if you like chambray and cute hair bows, keep reading!

Last week I was running late for class and I did not have time to get ready, at all. I ended up throwing this together with minimal effort. I was pretty happy with the outcome because I kind of love this outfit. Sometimes you just need to embrace the color black (and embrace chambray, but do we ever really stop embracing chambray!?)

I'm just a little bit obsessed with this bow from Itsy Bitsy Bands, it was the perfect accessory for this outfit. I am also loving these headbands: HERE and HERE.

Simplicity + Denim on Denim

When it comes to fall, I am all about layering and accessorizing my outfits. There is something about putting different patterns, colors, and textures together that I just love. If you know me, you know I love simple outfits that you can just throw together and go. Being a busy college student, I am constantly on the go and these types of outfits are perfect for me!

This outfit is just that... dark denim jeans, a light chambray top, a light [floral] infinity scarf, and booties... oh and a lace bow because I love my bows.

Transitional Pieces: Chambray & Colored Jeans

Happy Wednesday,

I'm so happy that we are already halfway through the week.

I have a really fun collaboration planned for today with the girls from The Kiss Me Darling Blog. If you haven't checked out their blog yet, you need to! They have fabulous style and such fun fashion inspiration. Not to mention, they are two of the sweetest girls ever!

Can you believe it is already September?
Actually, can you believe it is still 95 degrees during the day where I live? (Southern Colorado)
I am so sick of it. I am ready to transition into fall weather, so hopefully it will come soon!

Danielle, Bethany, and I decided to team up and show you how we transition our style from summer to fall. We picked two staple pieces to work with: chambray and colored jeans.

Both chambray and colored jeans are such versatile pieces that can be used throughout all seasons of the year. Today, we are here to show you how we styled each for summer and fall.

As you can see, I used a bright pair of colored jeans for summer and I paired them with other bright and colorful pieces/ accessories. That outfit just screams summer. In order to transition into fall, I chose a more autumn color of jeans, mustard. I just love the colors that fall brings to your wardrobe. I decided to pair these jeans with some amazing riding boots and this lovely blazer to make it even more of an autumn-appropriate outfit.

I love the simple looks that Bethany (left) and Danielle (right) put together. One of the looks has some pops of coral, which of course screams summer! The other look mixes chambray with dark wash jeans, lace, and some gorgeous heels. I love how feminine and classy their looks are! They are perfect for transitioning into fall.

A few FYIs:

If you can't tell, I love colored jeans. That are such a fun way to make a statement with your outfit by bringing in some color. Also, when I wore these into work today, my manager decided to call me sunshine. So there's that. This hounds tooth clutch isn't actually a clutch. It's a 'business folder' from Office Max that holds all of my loose papers for school. Since these pictures were taken right before I went to class yesterday, I felt it was only appropriate to make it an accessory! TJ Maxx has some amazing colored pants. I got this pair and another pair from there for only $5 last week. YES, you heard me- FIVE DOLLARS!
