Summer Stripes

No matter what season it is, my closet will always be filled with stripes and this pattern just won't get old. It's such timeless pattern and it can be worn for so many different occasions and paired with so many other pieces. Which is was why I had to add this to my closet even though it was another striped item.

My husband also gave me this striped beach bag for my birthday. #winning

And this fedora? Well I believe that fedoras + stripes + summer = pure happiness.

It's a rather simple formula, folks.

This dress tends to ride up when I walk (not winning). I didn't realize this until after I started wearing it. However, it makes for a super cute beach/pool dress.

Now if I could just find the time to actually go swimming...

dress: Old Navy (cannot find it online but I found mine for only $4 at my local store) // fedora: Francesca's // sandals: Target // beach bag: TJ Maxx

New York...

Last week, Old Navy had a 40% sale and I went on a huge shopping spree. I picked up this NY tee (which apparently is actually a maternity shirt), these shoes, this amazing sequined cardi, and a ton of other clothes for Brogan and I.

New York is one of my favorite places that I've visited and I hope to go back there again, hopefully sooner than later! So naturally, when I saw this tee I wanted to have it.

The cardi and the flats that I'm wearing are amazing. I am in love with the sequined elbow patches and the simple black and gold loafers. Also an FYI- these loafers are super comfortable and they don't give you blisters so that's a plus!

Neutral Stripes

This past weekend I wanted to some summer shopping for hubs and I. I went to Old Navy and they were having an awesome sale. Everything was 20% off, even the clearance!

This dress ended up being only $6. I was a very happy girl.

My newly bought wedges went with it perfectly.
Another shot of the necklace I made... a lot of people have been asking when I will start selling these. I am working on re-opening my shop real soon, I promise!

It even has pockets!

I paired it with mint belt I already had for a pop of color.

I just love this outfit, it is the perfect amount of neutrals with small pops of color like the mint belt and the coral bracelet for Spring. It was also a perfect outfit for church (these were taken on Sunday.)

neutral striped dress: Old Navy, $6 on sale
mint belt: with another dress, Maurice's
leather wedges: Target $25
Necklace: made be me, coming to JJ Walters Designs soon.

How do you make neutrals 'spring friendly'?

Thanks for reading and don't forget to follow!
