Rain Boots on a Budget...

If you haven't been living under a rock, you probably know that rain boots are all the rage these days; colorful rain boots at that. Hunters Boots are very on trend right now. I have been wanting a pair for a very long time, but I just can't justify it. The average pair of Hunters are $140.00! My husband and I are newlyweds (sort of) and we are both in college. So there just isn't room in our budget for $140 boots.

I have been looking around for some similar rain boots that have the look and quality of the Hunter Boots with a much smaller price tag and here some great options I have found...

Which ones are your favorites? I am eyeing the Navy Polka Dot wellies and I am hoping that I will find them underneath my Christmas tree this year :)

Have a great weekend!

One Blazer: Two Ways

Yesterday I posted an outfit that showed off a great piece for fall- a navy striped blazer. In yesterday's post, I dressed the blazer up for a Sunday church look. If you missed it, you can see that post here.

Today, I am going to show you how I wore that blazer for a more casual look.

This is such a great look that will be on repeat this fall.
There's something about blazers, chambray, fun flats, and some arm candy...
it's comfortable and stylish.

blazer: TJ Maxx // jeans: American Eagle // flats: American Eagle // white tee: Seagull // chambray: Target // necklace: Sassy Steals // bracelets: JJ Walters Designs

Neutral Stripes

This past weekend I wanted to some summer shopping for hubs and I. I went to Old Navy and they were having an awesome sale. Everything was 20% off, even the clearance!

This dress ended up being only $6. I was a very happy girl.

My newly bought wedges went with it perfectly.
Another shot of the necklace I made... a lot of people have been asking when I will start selling these. I am working on re-opening my shop real soon, I promise!

It even has pockets!

I paired it with mint belt I already had for a pop of color.

I just love this outfit, it is the perfect amount of neutrals with small pops of color like the mint belt and the coral bracelet for Spring. It was also a perfect outfit for church (these were taken on Sunday.)

neutral striped dress: Old Navy, $6 on sale
mint belt: with another dress, Maurice's
leather wedges: Target $25
Necklace: made be me, coming to JJ Walters Designs soon.

How do you make neutrals 'spring friendly'?

Thanks for reading and don't forget to follow!
