How We Wore It: Spring Maternity Style

Old Navy striped shift dress | Hunter Rain Boots, option on sale here! | diy scarf, similar here

I love the spring weather we've been having and I've been trying to soak up every minute of it before this baby makes its arrival next month. What better way to dress for spring than in rain boots? I've been wearing a lot of pastels and colorful pieces to match the season lately, but I went with a more nautical look for this outfit. This is also the outfit I wore for my baby shower this past weekend (more details coming soon!)

Shift dresses have been the perfect piece for the end of pregnancy. They are comfy, stretchy, and make me feel like I can actually fit into something! This particular dress is non-maternity, but is unfortunately sold out in this color. However, there are some similar dresses here and here and a great maternity option can be found here

Have a great Monday!

Vintage Nautical

This Oasap skirt is one of my favorite items in my closet right now. It is the perfect tea length and I love the vintage feel it has! I dressed it down with leather sandals and a tied t-shirt, but it could easily be dressed up for church or a date night. Also, who knew that the white on white affect worked with necklaces and t-shirts? If you ever want to wear a statement necklace but you don't want it to stand out, try this method- it may just work for you! Blue and white stripes tend to remind me of a nautical theme, which reminds me of anchors. So it's no surprise that I wore this anchored hair bow from 9th & Elm with this outfit.

9th & Elm is a website that features fabulous handmade fashion items made by independent designers. They consistently have new and exclusive deals on their site each week. On their homepage, you can find "featured events", which will show you all the latest/newest pieces. Be sure to check out my other post with 9th & Elm here and their website here

This post is sponsored by 9th & Elm, but all opinions are my own.

Nautical in Autumn

I feel like this week was so long. Is that just me!? Thank goodness it's Friday now! Do you guys have any big plans this weekend? Brogan and I don't have much planned. We are going to see Brogan's brother and his wife and our adorable little niece, so that will be fun! I will also be locking myself in my office so that I can make bracelets galore this weekend. I am participating in a craft show next weekend so I am trying to get ready for that. If you haven't already checked out my online shop, please do!

I have an outfit post for you today, but first: a few orders of business.

1. Thank-you to everyone who entered the $300 Target Giftcard Giveaway! The winner is Katie Hanson. Please e-mail Lily at lilyac13@gmail.com to claim your prize.
2. Remember when I posted about the Bloggers Give Back Event earlier this week? Well today I am hosting an auction with JJ Walters Designs on their instagram page. It will begin at 1 PM MST and the items auctioned will be jewelry, clothing, and accessories. 100% of these funds will go to the BGB fund. Follow us @jjwaltersdesigns to join in on this fun auction and to see all the rules!

This outfit: I am loving this J.Crew oxford that I bought from a fellow fashion blogger on instagram. I am seriously obsessed with oxfords this season and I can't stop wearing them! I think it's because they are comfy and casual but they also have a classy and dressed-up touch to them. It's a win-win. This specific top has a blue-striped pattern, which reminds me of all the nautical trends that were circulating this past summer. So I of course had to wear my Sperry's with it! I also paired this scarf with it because I just can't get enough of pattern mixing these days.

Also: This is my new favorite shade of lipstick. It's the NYX Matte Lipstick- which I LOVE, in Pure Red

Bon Voyage.

How is it already Wednesday?
I feel like the week just started!

As Fall draws nearer-

Let's be serious. It is still 90 degrees outside and I feel like fall is never going to get here.

However, I know it will get here one day so I am trying to wear summery stuff before that happens. But I digress. Clearly I have time to fit in lots of summery outfits because the hot Colorado heat isn't going anywhere quite yet.

Which, is why I wore this outfit. Anchors, boat shoes, messy braids, and anything nautical just screams summer to me.

I am also selling these pants and this tee on my instagram account. They are in nearly perfect condition, I just didn't wear them enough. Follow me on instagram @shopjessicajean for details.

Have a happy Wednesday!
