Thanksgiving Day Outfits

Dressing for the holidays can be a challenge- especially on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the official start of the holiday season. It's a day where you want to look cute, but you also want to feel comfortable while visiting with relatives and indulging in delicious holiday food. If you're hosting or cooking, you may also want something that you can move around in while still being festive.

Whatever your situation, lifestyle, type of dinner you'll be attending, etc... there's a look for you! Don't resort to your sweatpants just yet! (Although leggings are always completely acceptable.) Here are some different ideas for holiday looks that will work for you on Thanksgiving.

1. Get comfy with a chunky sweater, a statement necklace and jeans. Not only is this outfit stylish, but it's also effortless, easy to put together and very comfortable. If you'll be in a casual dining setting and lounging around- this type of look is perfect for you.

2. Casually layer up. Layers aren't just for the outdoors and there is a way to wear them inside without getting hot or uncomfortable. An oxford, thermal, vest, and infinity scarf are the perfect ensemble. Plus, you can take off the scarf or vest if it begins to feel like too much.

3. Go casual and comfy with a simple tee, a colorful cardigan and a chunky scarf!

4. Meet in the middle. This is the perfect in between outfit if you aren't sure if you should dress-up or down. Sweater dresses are very versatile and appear dressy and casual at the same time. A plaid flannel scarf will bring a plain Jane sweater dress alive, any day!

5. Dress-up in style! One option is to wear a fit n' flare dress, heels, patterned tights and a comfy scarf. This is perfect for a Thanksgiving dinner with a dress code.

6. Get a little bit more dressy with jewel tones, a statement necklace and heels.

7. Dress down and up with jeans and a blazer or nice jacket! Buffalo plaid and ankle booties are the perfect way to dress casually, but slightly dressed-up for a holiday dinner.

8. Formal look: Last but not least, here is an uber-dressy look: wearing a formal dress. If you have a fancy dinner party to go to, this option is for you! Silks, tulle, and sparkles will fit in real nice with this particular theme!

So, the question now is: what will you be wearing on Thanksgiving? Are you going to one dinner or multiple get-togethers? Will you be going with a casual look, dressed-up look or will you meet halfway in the middle?

As for me, I'll be mixing it up somewhere in the middle with a sweater, a scarf or statement necklace and jeans or leggings. I haven't quite decided yet!
