DIY Mini Pink Tulle Christmas Tree

The other day I was going through my craft room, which I am in the process of turning into a nursery and I found some pink tulle. I don't even know why I bought this in the first place, but I wanted to use it instead of just giving it away. I came up with the idea for a pink tulle Christmas tree for a decoration in my office/bedroom. I was able to use all household supplies since this was a 'spur of the moment' project!

You could probably use hot glue for this part too, but I chose tape because it wouldn't dry quickly and would give me time to work with it. I put 3 strips of tape, which was enough.

You could also spray paint your cone, but I like the look of two layers because it gives it more color.

Because the tulle is so transparent, this part is a little hard to explain. All you have to do is put a dab of glue and fold over a piece of the tulle, which will give a skirting effect. My folds were 1-2" wide.

You can do 3 layers, or more if you'd like.

I used a strand of pearls and a mini pink ornament bulb on top.

The finished project!

I also laid the leftover pearls at the bottom with some more bulbs... it was the perfect added touch!
